Today Don and Dan discuss a controversial topic in clinical trials-money, or more specifically, paying study participants for their clinical trial participation. It is fairly common for clinical trial participants to receive compensation for their time and travel. However, in phase 1 healthy volunteer studies, the ONLY reason people even participate in those studies is the large amount of compensation they receive.
