We were honored to have been able to interview Dr Jenny Yip, of the Renewed Freedom Center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr Yip’s company specializes in studying and researching on all things related to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, as well as anxiety in children as well as adults. It’s very interesting to learn that the type of clinical trials Dr Yip conducts are not studies which test medications, but rather, they test the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In other words, by joining a CBT trial, there is no medication to test, but rather, specific therapies are tested that involve cognitive tests, very much like mental exercises that Dr Yip’s patients would undergo. Here is another example of how diverse the clinical trials industry really is!
