In today’s post, Don interviews Art. Art is a gentleman who has an interesting perspective on clinical trials. According to Art, clinical trials are not very different from medical practice because in medical practice the physician is in many ways, also experimenting with his patients. In these cases, according to Art, the physician is experimenting what works or does not work on his patients. In a clinical trial, while the physician is following a protocol, the entire purpose of the study is to assess how effective and safe a particular drug or device may be. Nonetheless, this is a VERY interesting perspective brought to us by Art.
