I received a question the other day in response to one of our other videos which explains that your personal information is always kept confidential in a clinical trial. The actual question I received was “why?” This type of question shows the distrust that exists within the general public and people’s perception of clinical trials. This individual believed that people’s information was being kept confidential because the drug companies did not want responsibility should an injury or other type of adverse event occur with the study participant. In this video, I go on to explain that this is not true.
