This is a video response to a question I received from a potential study participant on what happens to their private and personal information if they were to join a clinical trial. I explained that research clinics go to great lengths to de-identify all personal information associated with that individual and his or her respective data that originated from the clinical trial. That means that no employers, or insurance companies should be aware that you participated in a clinical trial, although this is not always the case, as I explain in the video, should emergencies or serious side effects occur.
