Today’s interview with guest guru who joined a clinical trial looking to cure himself of hepatitis c and succeeded to do just that. However, even in this wonderful scenario, we are reminded that clinical trials are obviously not traditional treatments and state government agencies do not necessarily perceive them as a traditional route. While our guest guru cured himself of hep-c, he was denied disability benefits from his state because he was not able to prove his disability due to the fact that in the particular clinical trial, his clinical trial records were not his property, but property of the drug company sponsoring the trial. This raises the question: Are clinical trials ever treatments?
