There are 4 Phases of clinical trials. Phase 1 studies seek healthy volunteers. These studies generally pay the participant the most money. phase 2 and 3 clinical trials seek to enroll study participants who are diagnosed with the medical condition that the study drug intends to treat. In this video I focus on these two phases. Phase 4 clinical trials are post-marketing studies where the drug has been approved by the FDA, but additional data is being collected.
