I encourage anyone who is considering joining a clinical trial to understand what they want to get out of the study before they sign up for it. Whether you are seeking better or alternative treatments for your medical condition, some extra cash, or maybe just want to receive better medical attention than you are currently getting, you must first make sure that the clinical trial you are considering has a realistic chance of fulfilling your expectations. For example, don’t enroll in a clinical trial that treats mild arthritis if you have severe arthritis. Only when you understand what you want to get out of a clinical trial, will you be able to make a truly informed decision about your clinical trials options.
