In this video, I interview Danny. Danny has participated in several phase 1, healthy volunteer studies. These studies pay the most money to the clinical trial participant, however, are also the riskiest of all phases. Danny is a guru in these types of clinical trials. He has participated in “over a dozen” healthy volunteer studies and said that the worst side effect he’s had was a niacin flush.

He says he’ll continue doing clinical trials, and has been very pleased with his study experiences thus far. Just a note for the viewer, most clinical trials are not as risky as these phase 1 studies, and most clinical trials offer an additional benefit of a potential treatment for a medical condition. The studies that Danny is talking about are totally different than the majority of clinical trials!
