Not every clinical trial is a one size fits all type of study where anyone with a certain condition may qualify. What we are seeing is a lot more specific and niche types of clinical trials where very specific characteristics are looked at within a certain medical condition. For example, instead of just schizophrenia, they may be looking for people who have schizophrenia with very high negative symptoms. This trend towards more specific and niche studies may cause some research clinics some problems in terms of recruitment. Fear not, for Don Walters offers some excellent advice, and by the way, he knows a lot about recruitment.
