Every study participant has the right to withdraw from a clinical trial at any time, for any reasons. Study doctors also may withdraw a study participant if he/she feels that the participant’s health is in jeopardy. Finally, drug companies (pharma) can cancel studies that are ongoing, or choose to end them earlier than expected for many different reasons. So what happens when you withdraw from a clinical trial before its over?
